Midsize luxury SUV sales in the U.S. look really good for the month of November. This shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise because the segment has been on the up and up pretty much all year. YTD sales numbers look good.
When you look at just the November monthly sales numbers, you’ll see that the segment is up by 6,000 units. Take a gander at the YTD numbers and you’ll see that the segment is up by about 26,000 units. This suggests that November was a good month in a good year for the segment.
It’s important to note that Ford, GM, FCA, and Tesla’s vehicle sales are not represented here due to the fact that they report sales quarterly.
We expect December sales to be strong as well. We’d also expect them to continue to be strong well into 2020.
Data will trickle in throughout the day with the numbers being finalized by EOD. GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter. We will also be adding monthly sales tables and charts to the mix as well.
Note: FCA US LLC will end its practice of reporting U.S. and Canada sales on a monthly basis following June results. FCA US and FCA Canada will report monthly sales for May and June. The first quarterly report will occur on October 1, 2019, covering the months of July, August, and September.
