Midsize luxury SUV sales in the U.S. look strong both in the month of October and so far this year. This shouldn’t come as a surprise because the segment has been trending up recently.
When you look just at the month of October when compared to this same month last year, you’ll notice that the segment saw about 6,500 more sales. When you look YTD, it’s clear that the segment has seen about 20,000 more sales.
Leading the pack by a long shot is the Lexus RX. The model managed to see about a seven percent increase for the month of October. When you look at the YTD numbers, you’ll see that the vehicle is down by about three percent. The next two models rounding out the top three are the Acura MDX and the BMW X5 both have seen strong sales increases this year and in the month of October.
We expect sales to continue to be strong in the upcoming months and into the next year.
