The LX is the flagship Lexus SUV, a full-size, three-row luxury model built on the same body-on-frame foundations as the Toyota Land Cruiser and offered today as the gasoline LX 600 and the hybrid LX 700h. It competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover.

Lexus LX Sales in the United States

The U.S. chart opens in 2005 at 8,555, the best full year on it. Sales fell to 5,595 in 2006 and 2,469 in 2007 before the redesigned LX lifted 2008 to 7,915. Through the 2010s volume mostly held between about 3,100 and 6,000 a year, with 6,004 in 2017 the high point of the decade. After 3,563 in 2021 and 3,642 in 2022, the current generation nearly doubled sales to 6,959 in 2023. 2024 eased to 6,830, and 2025 rose 9.3 percent to 7,464, the best year since 2005, closing with a December of 962 units, the strongest month on the chart. 2026 is running slightly ahead again: January to September reached 5,550, up 2.2 percent on the 5,430 of the same months of 2025.

Lexus LX Sales in Canada

In Canada the LX was a rare sight in the mid-2000s, with fewer than 100 sales a year from 2004 through 2007. The redesigned model lifted 2008 to 353, and after a dip to 114 in 2011 volume climbed steadily to 748 in 2016 and a peak of 1,053 in 2019, with July 2018 the best month on the chart at 135. Sales fell to 712 in 2020, 412 in 2021 and 317 in 2022, then the current generation brought a rebound to 899 in 2023. 2024 settled at 658 and 2025 rose 8.8 percent to 716. 2026 is running behind: January to September reached 465, down 19.8 percent on the 580 of the same months of 2025.
