Hyundai Nexo
Hyundai Nexo Overview
The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCV) produced by Hyundai, representing one of the few commercially available FCVs as of my knowledge cut-off in September 2021. Introduced in 2018, the Nexo showcases Hyundai’s commitment to alternative fuel technology and is part of a broader push toward sustainable mobility. The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell SUV that was first released in 2018. It is currently only available in select markets, including South Korea, the United States, and Europe.
The Nexo is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell that produces 161 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a single-speed transmission and has a range of up to 414 miles on a single charge. The Nexo can be refueled in about 5 minutes, which is much faster than charging an electric car. The Nexo is a very fuel-efficient car, with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 60 MPGe in the city and 57 MPGe on the highway. It is also very clean, emitting only water vapor and heat as exhaust.
The Nexo is a spacious and comfortable SUV with seating for up to five passengers. It has a premium interior with features like leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The Nexo also comes standard with a variety of advanced safety features, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning.
The Hyundai Nexo is a great choice for buyers who are looking for a fuel-efficient, clean, and luxurious SUV. It is perfect for people who live in areas with hydrogen fuel stations and who want a car that is environmentally friendly. However, the Nexo is still a relatively new car and is not available in all markets.
