Jeep Renegade Overview

The Jeep Renegade was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014. It is the smallest SUV in the Jeep lineup. It was developed in collaboration between American and Italian engineers, leveraging the shared resources of Fiat and Chrysler at the time. The Renegade is built on the Small Wide 4×4 platform, which it shares with the Fiat 500X.

The design of the Renegade is distinctive, with a mix of traditional Jeep cues like the seven-slot grille and round headlights combined with a boxy, almost playful body shape. This design aimed to give it a rugged look while being compact and city-friendly. Inside, the Renegade has a contemporary design with various unique design elements, such as a topographic map design on some storage areas and “X” motifs inspired by military equipment.

The Renegade is available in four trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, and Limited. It is powered by a 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on all models.
