Hyundai Kona sales in the United States rose from 47,090 units in its 2018 debut to a peak of 90,069 in 2021. Deliveries fell to 63,994 in 2022 during the industry’s supply crunch, then recovered with the redesigned second-generation model to 79,116 in 2023 and 82,172 in 2024. In 2025 US sales eased about 9 percent to 74,814 units. The third quarter of 2026 brought 16,779, down 3.8 percent on the 17,450 of the third quarter of 2025. October rose 21.3 percent to 6,029 from the 4,969 of October 2025, though January to October 2026 still runs modestly lower at 58,977, down 5.3 percent on the 62,247 of the same months of 2025.

Hyundai Kona Sales in Canada
Canada is a notably strong market for the Kona, taking a high share relative to its market size. Canadian sales peaked at 31,101 units in 2021, dipped through 2022 and 2023, then rebounded to 30,020 in 2024 and a record 31,745 in 2025. Hyundai had sold 14,090 Konas in Canada through the first half of 2026. The third quarter of 2026 brought 8,286 sales, down 7.6 percent on the 8,963 of the third quarter of 2025 and down 7.5 percent on the 8,953 of the second quarter, when May was the strongest month of the year at 3,056. That leaves January to September 2026 at 22,376, down 11.0 percent on the 25,142 of the same months of 2025.
