Toyota Crown Signia
Here you will find monthly and yearly U.S. sales figures for the Toyota Crown Signia. The Toyota Crown Signia is a mid-size crossover SUV that debuted in summer 2024 as the second entry in Toyota’s revived Crown lineup. As the crossover companion to the Crown sedan, the Crown Signia effectively replaced the discontinued Venza while positioning itself between the RAV4 and Highlander in Toyota’s SUV hierarchy.
The Crown nameplate has been synonymous with quality and sophistication in Toyota’s global lineup since 1955, though the name spent decades absent from North American showrooms. The Crown Signia marks the first time the nameplate has appeared on an SUV, blending the Crown’s premium positioning with crossover versatility.
Toyota Crown Signia Overview
The Toyota Crown Signia is a two-row, five-passenger crossover SUV built on Toyota’s TNGA-K platform, which it shares with the Crown sedan. The vehicle is assembled at Toyota’s Tsutsumi Plant in Aichi, Japan.
Every Crown Signia comes standard with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 240 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission and electronic on-demand all-wheel drive are standard across both available trims. The AWD system uses a dedicated rear electric motor rather than a traditional transfer case and driveshaft, allowing front-to-rear torque distribution ranging from 100:0 to 20:80 depending on conditions.
EPA fuel economy is rated at 39 city, 37 highway, and 38 combined mpg. The Crown Signia can tow up to 2,700 pounds. Car and Driver recorded a 0-60 mph time of 7.0 seconds in testing.
The Crown Signia measures 194.1 inches long, 74.0 inches wide, and 64.2 inches tall on a 112.2-inch wheelbase. Ground clearance is 6.7 inches. Cargo capacity is 25.8 cubic feet behind the second row on XLE models (24.8 on Limited due to the panoramic roof), expanding to 68.8 cubic feet (66.1 Limited) with the 60/40 split rear seats folded flat. The folded cargo floor extends 6.5 feet, aided by extension panels that fill the gap between the folded seatbacks and front seats.
The Crown Signia is offered in two trims: XLE starting at $43,590 and Limited starting at $47,990 (excluding destination). The XLE comes with 19-inch wheels, leather-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. The Limited adds 21-inch wheels, a panoramic glass roof, heated rear seats, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, and a digital rearview mirror. For 2026, Toyota added an optional two-tone exterior paint scheme pairing a black roof with select body colors on Limited models.

Market Position
The Crown Signia occupies an interesting position in Toyota’s lineup. At $43,590 to start, it slots above the RAV4 ($31,350) and the three-row Highlander ($41,400 base for the gas model, $43,250 for hybrid) in price, though as a two-row model it targets a different buyer. Its premium positioning and standard hybrid powertrain place it closer to near-luxury territory.
Toyota has positioned the Crown Signia as a mainstream alternative to luxury crossovers like the Lexus RX, with which it shares platform architecture. The Signia’s interior materials and cabin quietness approach Lexus standards at Toyota pricing, though reviewers note it lacks the more powerful Hybrid Max powertrain (340 hp) available in the Crown sedan.
Competitors include the Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, Nissan Murano, and the related Lexus NX and RX hybrids at the premium end.
Toyota Crown Signia Generations
First Generation (2025–present)
The Crown Signia launched in summer 2024 for the 2025 model year as an all-new nameplate in North America. Built on the TNGA-K platform at Toyota’s Tsutsumi Plant in Japan, the Crown Signia is offered exclusively with hybrid all-wheel drive. Two trim levels are available: XLE and Limited. For 2026, Toyota added two-tone exterior paint options but made no significant mechanical changes.
