The UK's Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders warned the EU on April 16 that the draft Industrial Accelerator Act risks £70 billion in annual UK auto trade by excluding UK-built vehicles from corporate-fleet tax incentives, government grants, and CO2 super credits. 57% of UK-built cars are exported to the EU. Fleet sales run roughly 60% of the UK's domestic market. If the IAA passes without UK inclusion, the economics tilt away from Sunderland, Burnaston, Solihull, and Oxford toward Germany, Spain, and Slovakia. This is the rules-of-origin sequel to Brexit.
