2026 U.S. Warm Hatchback Sales Figures – By Model

This page ranks 2026 United States sales for the warm hatchback segment, the small performance-leaning hatchbacks that sit above the ordinary compacts without reaching full hot hatch pricing. Each nameplate with its own GCBC sales history page links to it from the rankings table, and the tables and charts update automatically as each new month of data is reported.

Through September 2026, the Mini Cooper leads the rankings table at 11,578 sales, down 4.0 percent year over year, and the Fiat 500 has fallen 81.2 percent to 201. In the third quarter alone the Mini sold 4,141.

Sales Rankings Table

The table below ranks the two warm hatchbacks with September figures by U.S. sales, with monthly and year-to-date totals and year-over-year changes. The Volkswagen Golf, at 5,472 through June, and the Polestar 4 are not in the table and appear in the quarterly table and the month-by-month matrix below.

Quarterly Sales With Quarter Over Quarter Change

The quarterly table below breaks each nameplate’s 2026 sales into quarters with quarter-over-quarter changes. Among nameplates with third-quarter figures, the Mini rose 2.2 percent from the second quarter and was up 8.4 percent on the third quarter of 2025. The Volkswagen Golf and the Polestar 4 show no third-quarter sales in the table because their figures are not yet in GCBC’s data, and they update when they are.
