Here you will find the YTD Vehicle sales leaders in the United States for December 2018 YTD. Each month we compile passenger car sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below. As we enter 2019, it becomes clear from the December and year-on-year sales stats that crossovers and SUVs control automotive sales momentum.

The Toyota Camry and Honda Civic are the two best-selling cars, but their numbers are down 11.17 percent and 13.66 percent respectively YTD. Meanwhile, the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, and Honda CR-V all saw sales increases YTD, with the RAV4 leading the way with a 4.8 percent increase and a final tally of 427,168 models sold. Other crossovers showed similar or more impressive increases, with many in double-digit percentage numbers.
