Ford sold 67,504 F-Series trucks in the United States in August 2026, 1.2% below August 2025, according to Ford’s September 2 release. Through August, 2026 sales stand at 494,060, 10.9% below the 554,714 of the same months of 2025. The F-150 Lightning, which Ford reports as a memo line inside the total, was 148 trucks in August and 4,770 for the year, down 75%.
828,842 is the 2025 answer. Ford’s F-Series line, which is the F-150, the Super Duty and the Lightning together, sold 828,842 trucks in 2025, the best year since 2019’s 896,526 and 8% above 2024’s 765,649. Ford does not publish an F-150 figure on its own, so no source can say how many F-150s were sold; the F-Series is the unit every ranking uses, and it has been the best-selling vehicle in the country for 44 consecutive years. 16,021,774 F-Series trucks have been sold since January 2005; the record year is 2018 at 909,330.

| 2026 | 494,060 (January to August) |
The 2024 figure is under review: the August 2024 entry reads 139,693 against months of 60,000 to 80,000 either side, and the year sums 68,992 above Ford’s 765,649, so the piece uses Ford’s figure for 2024.
18.2% was the year-over-year gap in January 2026, and it has narrowed in five of the seven months since, widening only in April and July: 16.2% in February, 14.1% in March, 14.7% in April, 13.3% in May, 4.6% in June, 6.5% in July and 1.2% in August. Ford’s second-quarter release attributed the first-half shortfall to “a retiming of commercial production following last year’s aluminum supply shortages,” and the September 2 figures were reported as the start of an F-Series restock. Read that way, 2026 is a supply year: the trucks were not built in the first half, and the monthly gap is the rate at which they are being built now.

August 2025’s year-over-year change is not shown because the August 2024 figure is under review.
741,090 is where the January to August pace lands for the year, which would be the lowest total since 2022’s 653,957 and the first decline since that year. A September print above 65,876, last September’s figure, would be the first year-over-year gain since October 2025 and the first evidence that the restock has caught the comparison; Ford reports it around October 1. Among the trucks the F-Series is measured against in the 2026 pickup rankings, the Silverado stood at 276,074 through June, down 4.6%, and the Ram pickup line at 207,616, up 19%, in their makers’ first-half tables; both report quarterly, so the August comparison exists only for Ford.
162,392 vehicles is what the Ford brand sold in August, down 10.2%, and 1,277,175 for the year, down 9.7%, so the F-Series is falling more slowly than the brand around it. The F-Series was 41.6% of Ford brand sales in August and 38.7% for the year to date.
How many F-150s were sold in 2025?
Ford does not report the F-150 separately. The F-Series line, which includes the F-150, the Super Duty and the Lightning, sold 828,842 in 2025.

Worse: down 10.9% through August 2026, but the monthly gap has narrowed from 18.2% in January to 1.2% in August.
What was the F-Series’ best year?
2018, at 909,330.
How many F-Series trucks does Ford sell in a month?
67,504 in August 2026; the 2025 months ran from 60,961 in November to 79,361 in December.
