Honda sold 111,661 vehicles in the United States in September 2026, 17.1% above the 95,391 of September 2025. Through September the Honda brand stands at 1,045,593, 4.7% above the 998,716 of the same nine months of 2025 and its highest January-to-September since 2021, when it reached 1,052,485. Every figure here is the Honda brand; Acura is a separate brand and has sold 103,667 this year.

Period 2026 2025 Change
September 111,661 95,391 +17.1%
Third quarter 358,388 327,951 +9.3%
January to September 1,045,593 998,716 +4.7%

164,392 is the margin by which those nine months already exceed the whole of 2022, when the brand sold 881,201, its weakest year of the last two decades. 1,156,591 in 2023, 1,291,490 in 2024 and 1,297,144 in 2025 walked the volume back up, and 262,884 in October through December would put 2026 above 2021’s 1,308,476 and make it the brand’s best year since 2019. October through December has delivered more than that in each of the last three years, 298,428 of it last year.

34,788 of September’s total were CR-Vs, up 21.9% on the 28,549 of September 2025 and the nameplate’s best September. The CR-V’s third quarter, 110,730, is also its best, and its 336,844 through September is 32.2% of everything the brand sold. 403,768 in 2025 was the CR-V’s best year and through September 2026 it is 9.5% ahead of the same months of 2025.

111,661 in September sits just below a trailing twelve-month average of 112,002. Seven of the brand’s nine months in 2026 came in above the year-earlier month; February and March were the two that did not, and March was the only month to fall by more than 1%.
