2019 U.S Passenger Car Sales Analysis

Report Updated: With November 2019 Data on December 3rd, 2019

Car sales for the month of November you’ll see that the segment is down for the month. Take a look at YTD sales numbers and you’ll see that the segment is down considerably.

For the month of November, the segment is down by about 4,000 sales. When you look at the YTD sales numbers, you’ll see that the segment is down a whopping 233,000 sales. These sales numbers shouldn’t surprise anyone. The segment has been seeing sales decline for the last several months and even in the last year.

The Toyota Camry is the leader of the pack. It was followed up by Honda Civic and rounding out the top three is the Toyota Corolla. All three of those models saw sales rise in the month of November. The Camry saw a drop in sales of a little over a single percent. The Civic and Corolla saw an increase in sales YTD.

It’ll be interesting to see how many of these cars happen to die off in the next several years. Some of them have seen massive sales decreases, and we don’t expect that they can continue to do that forever. If they continue to sell poorly, they’ll likely be killed off.
