Report Updated: With November 2019 Data on December 3rd, 2019
It’s a little tough to get a feel for how commercial van sales performed in the month of November and so far this year because of Ford, GM, and FCA’s practices of reporting sales quarterly. Without their models included in this report, things look pretty bare. We only have sales data for Mercedes-Benz and Nissan.
With that said, sales look good for both brands. On the Mercedes side of things, both the Metris and the Sprinter saw sales growth for the month of November and YTD. When you look to Nissan, you’ll see that the NV van saw sales decline slightly for the month but increase dramatically YTD. The NV200 saw sales rise for both the month and YTD.
When you look at the quarterly sales numbers from Q3, you’ll see that most commercial van models saw sales growth. We have no reason to think that Q4 would be any different.
Below you will find sales figures for all commercial vans sold in the United States broken down by month and by quarter.
GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter. We will also be adding monthly sales tables and charts to the mix as well.
Note: FCA US LLC will end its practice of reporting U.S. and Canada sales on a monthly basis following June results. FCA US and FCA Canada will report monthly sales for May and June. The first quarterly report will occur on October 1, 2019, covering the months of July, August, and September.
