Toyota rates the Land Cruiser at up to 6,000 pounds of towing and an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined, unusual efficiency for a locking-diff off-roader of this size.
Toyota Land Cruiser Sales in the United States
Toyota withdrew the previous Land Cruiser from the United States after the 2021 model year, and sales trailed off to almost nothing across 2022 and 2023. The reborn 2024 Land Cruiser revived the nameplate, selling 29,113 units in its opening year and 43,946 in 2025, its first full year on sale. The launch surge has since cooled: through June 2026 Toyota sold 16,412 in the United States, down from 27,336 over the same months of 2025 as demand settles to a steadier rate.

Toyota Land Cruiser Sales in Canada
Canada followed the same pattern. The previous Land Cruiser sold only in small numbers before it was retired, and the new model lifted volume to 2,446 units in 2024 and 3,130 in 2025. Through the first half of 2026, Toyota Canada sold 1,462, down from 2,296 a year earlier as the initial launch demand normalizes.
