Our Take On The Commercial Van Sales Numbers

Ford remained the dominant player in Canada’s commercial van market in 2017.

Transit increased its sales over 2016 by 17.2% to retain a comfortable lead atop the full size van sales, while the Transit Connect continues to rule the roost in the small commercial segment.

41.3% of all vans sold in Canada throughout 2017 were Fords. General Motors was the next most voluminous manufacturer of commercial vans, with 26% market share. Mercedes-Benz was third, with 14.7% between its full size and small commercial vehicles, followed by FCA’s 12.2% contribution across its ProMaster and ProMaster City offering.
