S is good news when used by Audi. Put an R in front of the S, and the news is terrifically great. The upcoming Audi RS6, seen in the gallery below as a sedan, is a 580-horsepower monster. 479 lb-ft of torque ain’t shabby, either. Its twin-turbocharged 5.0L V10 produces this torque on a plateau from 1,500 rpm all the way to 6,250 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic. 19-inch wheels partially hide ceramic brakes that weigh 27 pounds less than the regular steel items. Blessed be the RS6 driver.
