RAV4, Camry, Tacoma, and Corolla combine for 331K Q3 sales, proving Toyota’s diversification excellence and its limitations when competing against Detroit’s pickup dominance
TLDR: Toyota placed four models in Q3 2025’s top 10 (RAV4, Camry, Tacoma, Corolla) with combined sales of 331,301 units. That’s more than any single GM or Ford model. Yet the company finished second to GM’s 708,360 total, exposing the strategic tradeoff between portfolio balance and segment concentration. Toyota’s approach protects against market shifts but can’t match the profitability and volume of pickup truck focus.
