GALLERY – MAYBACH ZEPPELIN – 13 PICTURES

The Zeppelin is ugly. You knew that already, because the title makes very clear that this car is a Maybach. Maybachs are inherently ugly, unless you count the Exelero, a concept never to be produced.

Maybach, a Mercedes-Benz division, wants to produce 100 of these Zeppelins. Considering past Maybach sales success, or distinct lack thereof, it may be difficult to sell all manufactured examples. Horsepower is bumped up by 28. Perfume atomiser – present and accounted for. Contrasting paint on the shoulderline is nasty but obvious. The Zeppelin can be had in either Maybach 57 or Maybach 62 guise, with the 62 Zeppelin adding €67,200 to the 57 Zeppelin’s €406,000 pricetag. Check out all 13 pictures below, if you can stomach it.

Day 199 — Omani authorities said the Panama-flagged tanker El Gaia is being towed to port after an engine-room fire was brought under control about 103 nautical miles northeast of Musandam, with two crew still missing and 23 evacuated by a Royal Navy of Oman vessel (gCaptain and The Maritime Executive, Sep 15-16). The IRGC said the ship struck a mine; US Central Command said Iran had attacked it twice. Neither account is confirmed. The Congressional Budget Office put the war's direct Pentagon cost at $38B through July and projected it will add about 0.5 percentage points to US consumption inflation in 1Q27. Houthi forces took the Greater and Lesser Hanish islands in the southern Red Sea. IMF PortWatch's published day advanced to Sep 13 at eight Hormuz transits. AAA's national diesel average set a 13th consecutive record at $6.3103/gal and California diesel set a fresh state record at $8.2668/gal.
