With more shoppers going towards SUVs and crossovers, you might expect minivan sales to be down for 2018. While they were for December when compared to last year, the annual numbers show a slight uptick in the number of minivans sold.

Oddly enough, the dated Dodge Grand Caravan led the way in December and 2018 as a whole selling 151,927 models in 2018. That’s a YTD increase of 21.35 percent, dwarfing the small gains seen by the Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey. The Toyota Sienna and Kia Sedona both posted decreases for December and 2018 as a whole when compared with 2017. The YTD sales were down 21.36 percent and 24.72 percent respectively.
