Volkswagen Atlas sales in the United States grew quickly after the SUV’s 2017 launch, rising from 27,119 that first year to 81,508 in 2019 and a dataset high of 83,201 in 2020. The chip shortage pulled volume down to 43,900 in 2022, after which the Atlas rebounded to 60,859 in 2023 and 72,674 in 2024. Deliveries held near that level at 70,429 in 2025. The SUV has stayed on a similar pace in 2026, with 37,910 units through June against 35,077 over the first half of 2025.

Volkswagen Atlas Sales in Canada
In Canada the Atlas climbed from 4,534 units in its 2017 debut to a peak of 13,491 in 2021. Reported Canadian volume then stepped down markedly, to 11,190 in 2022 and 3,262 in 2023, and has since held in the 3,000 to 4,000 range, with 4,065 in 2024 and 3,297 in 2025.
