GALLERY – TOYOTA IQ – 204 PICTURES & DIMENSION COMPARO WITH SMART FORTWO AND NISSAN CUBE

Scroll through the gallery below…. and keep scrolling… and turn some more pages. Toyota has updated the iQ photo database. The result is 204 pictures of the ’09 Toyota iQ. Toyota believes it’ll sell 80,000 copies in Europe alone. The Toyota – or Toyota-connected Scion – badge should help improve those numbers once the iQ hits North American shores. As a reference point for the 3+1 seat iQ, think on these measurements of the smart fortwo and the Nissan Cube and, of course, the iQ itself. For more on the iQ, read about safety here, or its four seat potential, or its concept debut.

Day 198 — Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority published an updated list of 77 vessels it accuses of violating its Strait of Hormuz protocols, saying listed ships face fines, detention or confiscation and warning insurers, P&I clubs and classification societies against serving them (Iran International and Insurance Journal, Sep 14; Middle East Monitor, Sep 15). US Central Command said an IRGC claim that a supertanker struck mines in the strait was false; neither account is independently confirmed. Houthi forces said they struck the Khamis Mushait air base in southern Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline entered a fifth day shut. AAA's national diesel average set a 12th consecutive record at $6.2694/gal and California diesel set a fresh state record at $8.2124/gal.
