Yes, we all thought we were seeing a cheaper, better-looking and more fuel-efficient alternative to the Toyota Prius. Alas, it appears as though we were seeing a cheaper, more fuel-efficient but just as awkward alternative to the Toyota Prius.
Although so similar to the Honda Insight Concept, there is much about the production 2010 Honda Insight (top) to disappoint. Stance, wheels, front and rear fascias all differ enough to trigger a similar comparison to that between the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and the Dodge Challenger SE. So close… but yet so far. Indeed, close but no cigar.
That’s not to say the Insight won’t be a worthy car. If the predicted sub-$19,000 price comes to fruition with the obvious 40+mpg potential, Honda might just be on to something. ‘Magine that.
