Our Take On The Large Luxury SUVs Sales Numbers
The Lincoln Navigator went from strength to strength in July – sales shot up 62.7% for the month, while Ford higlighted that average transaction price on Navigator purchases hit $84,300 per SUV.
The rest of the Large Luxury SUV segment that reported figures for July 2018 did not fare so well. The Infiniti QX80 was the only other model to post a year-on-year increase in sales, with 6.7% more QX80s leaving lots in July 2018 than 2017.
The QX80 was one of only two models from the Japanese luxury brand to post increases in July, with the other being the brand’s QX50, which was recently overhauled for 2019 model year.
Range Rover sales dipped considerably in July, but the flagship Range Rover now fits in to a broader offering from within not just the Land Rover brand but Jaguar, too.
