Silverado and Sierra combine for 230K sales as GM’s segment concentration strategy proves more profitable than Toyota’s four-model diversification
TLDR: General Motors sold 708,360 vehicles in Q3 2025, capturing 23.45% market share and beating Toyota by 79,000 units. The victory came from GM’s truck-heavy strategy: Silverado, Sierra, and Colorado combined for 255,000 sales while Toyota spread volume across RAV4, Camry, Tacoma, and Corolla. Ford finished third at 543,000 units despite the F-Series leading all individual models with 208,000 sales.
