BYD Qin PHEV Sales Data & Trends
After launching the Qin Plug-in Hybrid in December 2013, BYD started sales of the full-electric version Qin EV300 in May 2016. The Plug-in Hybrid has a combined output of 303hp and 440 Nm, as the 1,5-liter turbo engine has 154hp and 240 Nm and the electric motor another 149hp and 200 Nm, mated to a 6-speed double clutch gearbox. This gives the Qin a top speed of 185 km/h (limited to 150 km/h in pure electric mode) and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5,9 seconds. The Qin PHEV is a dual-mode hybrid, which means it has a hybrid mode and an all-electric mode. ‘hybrid’, the other ‘pure electric’. In pure electric mode, it has a maximum range of 70kmon a 13 kWh battery capacity.
