BMW 7-Series
Here you will find monthly and yearly United States and Canadian sales figures for the BMW 7-Series. The 7 Series has been BMW’s flagship luxury sedan since 1977. The current seventh generation arrived for the 2023 model year, and BMW unveiled a heavily updated 2027 7 Series in April 2026, the first luxury model to adopt technology from the Neue Klasse, with production starting at Plant Dingolfing in July 2026.

BMW 7-Series Sales in the United States
U.S. sales of the BMW 7-Series stood at 18,165 in 2005, the highest total on this chart, and slid to 9,254 by 2009. The flagship recovered to between about 11,000 and 12,300 a year from 2010 to 2013, then faded, apart from a jump to 12,918 in 2016 with the arrival of the sixth generation. Volume bottomed out at 5,985 in 2020 and 5,974 in 2022. The current generation changed that: sales nearly doubled to 10,810 in 2023, held at 10,715 in 2024, and rose 5.5 percent to 11,303 in 2025, the best year since 2016. The first half of 2026 brought 5,181, down 9.2 percent from 5,707 a year earlier. BMW reports U.S. sales by quarter, so quarterly totals are a better guide than individual months.

BMW 7-Series Sales in Canada
The 7-Series has always been a rare sight in Canada. Sales ran between about 420 and 755 a year from 2004 to 2012, with the best year at 755 in 2012, then fell to the mid-300s from 2013 to 2015 before a brief lift to 626 in 2016. Since 2020 the flagship has sold fewer than 200 a year in Canada, with a low of 75 in 2022. It recovered to 171 in 2023, 137 in 2024 and 146 in 2025, up 6.6 percent. Through June 2026, Canadian sales total 57, down 20.8 percent from 72 in the first half of 2025.
