The A8 is Audi’s flagship full-size luxury sedan, and in the U.S. it is sold only in long-wheelbase A8 L form alongside the high-performance S8. For 2025 the A8 L 55 TFSI uses a 335-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged six and the S8 a 563-horsepower 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, both with quattro all-wheel drive. Both remain in Audi’s 2026 U.S. lineup.

Audi A8 Sales in the United States

The Audi A8 chart for the United States opens in 2005 at 5,430 sales and slides to 1,508 in 2009 and 1,521 in 2010. Sales surged at the end of 2010, with 333 in November and 502 in December, and 2011 jumped to 5,700. 2013 is the best year on the chart at 6,300, and December 2012 the best month at 900. Volume eased from 2014 to 1,599 in 2018, then rebounded to 2,963 in 2019. Since then the A8 has moved between 1,593 and 2,375 a year until 2025, which at 1,396 is the lowest full year on the chart, down 14.4 percent from 1,630 in 2024. January to June 2026 totals 513, down 31.5 percent from 749 a year earlier.
