Hyundai IONIQ 9 Sales in the United States
Hyundai delivered its first IONIQ 9 to a customer on 30 May 2025, and the monthly series starts in that month with 302 units. Volume climbed quickly, passing 1,000 units a month from July and holding near 1,050 through September. October, November and December then came in at 317, 315 and 380. The 2025 total of 5,189 units therefore covers eight months of selling rather than a full year, and the fourth quarter reads as a change of pace rather than a continuation of the ramp. 2026 has been much stronger. Through August the IONIQ 9 has recorded 6,147 units, already clear of the whole of 2025 with four months still to report, and May at 1,145 units is the best month the nameplate has posted.
