Citroën C5 X

The Citroen C5X is the new flagship of the Citroën-brand. The Citroën C5 X, unveiled in 2021, represents a new direction for Citroën in its large car segment. The C5 X boasts a bold and unique design, with a long, aerodynamic silhouette and a raised stance reminiscent of SUVs. The vehicle’s design is intended to provide the elegance and style of a saloon, the versatility of an estate, and the commanding presence of an SUV.

Consistent with Citroën’s focus on comfort, the C5 X incorporates the brand’s Advanced Comfort suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, aiming for a smooth and cushioned ride. The interior is designed to be spacious and serene, featuring warm materials and an emphasis on passenger well-being. It is equipped with Citroën’s Advanced Comfort seats, which have been lauded in other models for their support and cushioning.

The C5 X features a wide and customizable head-up display, which projects key driving information onto the windshield in the driver’s field of vision. It comes with a new 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports natural language voice recognition. A range of driver assistance systems are included, such as Highway Driver Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist for semi-autonomous driving on highways.

The C5 X is available with a choice of two petrol engines: a 1.2L turbocharged engine that produces 130 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque, and a 1.6L turbocharged engine that produces 180 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It is also available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.6L turbocharged engine with an electric motor for a total output of 225 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The C5 X is available with a choice of two transmissions: an eight-speed automatic transmission and an eight-speed automatic transmission with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
