AITO M7 Sales Figures

The AITO M7

The AITO M7 is a premium range‑extended electric SUV produced by Seres in partnership with Huawei and sold exclusively in China since mid‑2022. Positioned above the smaller AITO M5, the M7 combines a sleek, modern design with a spacious 5‑ or 6‑seat interior, advanced infotainment built on Huawei’s HarmonyOS, and luxurious touches like zero‑gravity second‑row seats and a 19‑speaker 7.1‑channel sound system. Because AITO has no presence in North America, the M7 remains a strictly Chinese‑market model.

Model Overview & Development

First Generation (2022‑2024): Unveiled in July 2022, the original M7 paired a 1.5‑litre turbocharged engine with one or two electric motors to create an extended‑range electric vehicle (EREV). Depending on drive layout, the hybrid system produced between 304 hp (rear‑wheel drive) and 449 hp (dual‑motor) and drew energy from a 37‑kWh battery. AITO claimed a combined driving range of roughly 1 510‑1 625 km when the battery and 60‑litre fuel tank were full. The cabin could be configured with five or six seats, with second‑row “zero‑gravity” chairs that recline to a medically optimised 113‑degree angle for improved blood circulation. In March 2023 the model briefly carried Huawei co‑branding, but by April the automaker reverted to the AITO name. A fully electric variant joined the line‑up for 2024, offering a 100‑kWh battery and a CLTC range of up to 710 km (rear‑drive) or 660 km (AWD).

Second Generation (2025‑): In July 2025 the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance previewed a second‑generation M7 with slightly larger dimensions (about 5 080 mm long on a 3 030‑mm wheelbase) and fresh styling. Set for release in September 2025, the new M7 will continue to offer both extended‑range and all‑electric powertrains and is expected to improve on the first generation’s performance and technology.

Sales Performance

Sales of the M7 have grown rapidly as Chinese buyers embrace premium domestically built EVs. Industry data show that AITO delivered about 21 226 M7s in 2022, its launch year, followed by 68 465 units in 2023 and an impressive 193 599 units in 2024. The surge reflects rising awareness of AITO’s brand and the popularity of extended‑range SUVs in China’s crowded EV market.
