Mitsubishi Outlander Sport/RVR Sales Figures

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Here you will find United States sales figures for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, the compact crossover sold as the RVR in Canada and as the ASX in much of the rest of the world. Mitsubishi launched it in North America late in 2010 as a smaller and cheaper companion to the Outlander, and it has stayed in the lineup ever since as the brand’s entry model. Standard all-wheel drive and one of the longest warranties in the segment have kept it competitive long after most rivals were replaced.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Sales in the United States

Mitsubishi built the Outlander Sport up quickly after its late 2010 launch, from 1,690 units in a partial first year to 16,443 in 2011 and a peak of 36,966 units in 2015. A second strong run followed, 36,867 units in 2018, before the aging design and thin inventory pulled volume down to 16,374 units in 2022, 15,016 in 2023 and 15,124 in 2024. The recovery since has been sharp. Mitsubishi recorded 20,380 units in 2025, up about 35 percent, and 20,508 units in the first half of 2026 alone, which is already more than the whole of last year and about 73 percent ahead of the same six months of 2025. Two caveats apply to the monthly view. Mitsubishi reports United States volume quarterly in several of these years, so 2021 through 2024 and 2026 repeat identical values across adjacent months and the chart should be read at quarter level rather than month by month. April 2018 and August, September and November of 2019 are missing outright, so those two annual totals understate their years.
