Mazda CX-5 sales in the United States built quickly after the nameplate arrived in 2012. From a first year of 43,676 units the crossover climbed through the 2010s, passing 150,000 in 2018 and reaching a peak of 163,940 in 2021. Volume then settled into a steady groove, with 153,808 in 2023, 134,088 in 2024, and 136,333 in 2025, a gain of about 2 percent year over year that kept the CX-5 among Mazda’s highest-volume US models. Through June 2026 Mazda had delivered 62,691 CX-5s, with a strongest month of 13,701 in February.

Mazda CX-5 Sales in Canada
In Canada the CX-5 has been a cornerstone of Mazda’s lineup and a consistent top seller for the brand. Sales rose from 11,301 in the 2012 launch year to the mid-20,000s across the late 2010s, dipped modestly early in the decade, then rebuilt to 24,644 in 2024. In 2025 Canadian deliveries reached 28,288, the highest full year in this dataset and an increase of roughly 15 percent over the prior year.
