For the second consecutive year, the Honda CR-V was America’s favourite SUV/crossover. Of course, 2008 was not much of a year on which to base trends, as sales across the industry were plunging, particularly toward the end of the year.

But the CR-V’s ability to lead SUVs and crossovers in terms of U.S. sales has held almost completely firm (save for 2011) since it took over from the Ford Explorer in 2007.
