The sports car segment in the US has been declining in recent years, but it remains a popular choice for enthusiasts who value performance and handling. In 2021, sports cars accounted for just 1.5% of new vehicle sales in the US, down from 2% in 2016. Despite the decline in sales, the sports car segment remains an important part of the US automotive market. Sports cars are still a popular choice for enthusiasts who value performance and handling. A number of automakers have introduced hybrid and electric sports cars in recent years. These sports cars offer better fuel efficiency than traditional gasoline-powered sports cars.
