Keep it simple, stupid. Honda’s next Fit will have more rounded corners, yet it will manage to provide more space. Honda has suggested the space will be similar to that of its midsize sedans. Impressive, if it proves true.
Expect a very small power increase and, potentially, a continuously variable transmission beyond the regular 5-speed manual. If you think a new Fit is debuting a tad early, do remember that the rest of the world saw the Fit/Jazz a few years before those of us in North America.
Sky Roof will surely become a mainstay in Fit advertising. This panoramic window in the roof lets in tons of light making the already decently sized interior feel even larger. Good thinking, Honda. Unique features in foundationally good cars make those good cars best-sellers.
I will try to buy one of the first 2009 Honda Fit’s in the Houston market. Many improvements over the 2008 model. Nice car to save some gas!
