The Best-Selling Cars, SUVs, Minivans and Trucks

The Top-Selling Vehicles in Canada Automotive Market for 2020

In 2020, Canada’s best-selling vehicles were influenced by a trend similar to that of the U.S., with trucks and SUVs dominating the top spots. Just like in the U.S., the Ford F-Series was the best-selling vehicle in Canada. The Ford F-150, in particular, has a strong following among Canadian buyers. The Ram pickup was another favorite, taking one of the top spots in Canadian vehicle sales. Chevy’s full-size pickup (the Chevrolet Silverado) also enjoyed robust sales in the Canadian market.

The RAV4 was Canada’s best-selling SUV, indicating a continued preference for compact SUVs. Another compact SUV that was popular among Canadian buyers. Hyundai’s compact SUV offering, the Hyundai Tucson made it into the list of top sellers, showcasing the brand’s growing popularity. VW’s compact SUV offering also made it to the top sellers in Canada. One of the few passenger cars to make the list, the Corolla has been a favorite compact car for many years. A consistently popular compact car in Canada, the Civic has been a top-seller for decades.
