Hongqi H9
Sales figures for the FAW Hongqi H9 in China. The Hongqi H9 is based on the last-generation Audi A6L. The Audi A6L was made by FAW-VW and FAW is also the owner of the Hongqi brand. Dimensions are 5.137/1.904/1.493mm with a wheelbase of 3.060mm. Base engine is a 2-liter turbo with 252hp and 380Nm and there’s an optional 3-liter supercharged V6 with 272hp and 380Nm from Audi. Both engines are mated to a 7-speed DCT.
Prices range between 309.800 yuan (€38.300,- / US$ 45,500) and 539.800 yuan (€66.700,- / US$ 79.300). Obviously, there are no Chinese rivals to the H9, and it competes with foreign luxury models from two different segments: midsized sedans like the Audi A4L (305.800-396.800 yuan), BMW 3-Series L (293.900-409.900 yuan), Mercedes-Benz C-Class L (307.800-474.800 yuan) and the imported Lexus ES (290.000-483.000 yuan) as well as large sedans like the Audi A6L (409.800-653.800 yuan), BMW 5-Series L (426.900-549.900 yuan), Cadillac CT6 (379.700-527.700 yuan), Mercedes-Benz E-Class L (429.800-623.800 yuan) and the Volvo S90L (372.900-505.900 yuan).
