After more than 1.5 million US sales since its 2009 debut, Kia confirmed that the 2025 model year would be the Soul’s last in the United States, with production winding down in late 2025.

Kia Soul Sales in the United States
Kia Soul sales in the United States built quickly after the nameplate’s 2009 launch, climbing past 100,000 in 2011 and reaching a peak of 154,768 units in 2016. As buyers shifted toward taller, more conventional SUVs, the Soul settled into a long and gradual decline, easing from 115,712 in 2017 to 71,772 in 2020. Volume then steadied in the low-to-mid 50,000s, with 61,263 in 2023, 52,397 in 2024, and 50,133 in 2025. With production ending, US sales fell to 3,480 in the first half of 2026 and had all but stopped by May, closing a United States run that Kia said topped 1.5 million vehicles.

Kia Soul Sales in Canada
In Canada the Soul followed a similar arc. Sales rose through the first half of the 2010s to a peak of 13,335 units in 2015 and held near 11,000 to 12,000 for several years. Demand then fell sharply in the 2020s, dropping from 8,144 in 2020 to 1,919 in 2024 and 704 in 2025 as the boxy hatchback was phased out. Canadian deliveries were effectively finished entering 2026.
