BMW X1 Sales in the United States

The X1 arrived in the United States partway through 2012 and posted 26,512 units in its first full year, 2013. Volume settled in the 22,000 to 31,000 range for most of the following decade, peaking at 30,826 in 2017, with two sharp troughs that both line up with generation changeovers: 14,420 in 2015 and 7,104 in 2022, the weakest full year on the chart. The third-generation car reversed that immediately, lifting sales to 21,043 in 2023 and 27,308 in 2024, and 2025 essentially held that level at 27,155 units. The 2026 start is the strongest in the nameplate’s history: 15,018 units through June against 13,322 a year earlier, a gain of about 13 percent, with May’s 2,976 the best month since December 2024.
