Here you will find monthly and yearly United States and Canadian sales figures for the BMW 2-Series. The 2-Series is BMW’s smallest coupe and sedan family, introduced for 2014 as the successor to the 1-Series Coupe and Convertible and expanded in 2020 with the front-wheel-drive-based Gran Coupe. Note that from 2015 forward BMW reports 1-Series and 2-Series deliveries together in the United States, so the figures on this page reflect that combined reporting; sales of the 2-Series Active Tourer and Gran Tourer MPVs are published separately.

BMW 2-Series Sales in the United States
United States volume for the 2-Series has been unusually cyclical. The launch year of 2014 produced 7,345 units, and the first generation peaked at 15,519 in 2016 before fading to 8,015 by 2019. The arrival of the Gran Coupe reset the line in 2020 at 13,209 units, followed by 15,684 in 2021, then a two-year trough at 11,551 in 2022 and 11,619 in 2023 as the current Coupe worked through its changeover. The recovery has been strong: 15,385 units in 2024 and 17,375 in 2025, the highest annual total in this dataset. Two caveats belong with those numbers. May and June of 2025 are missing from the monthly record, so the 2025 total understates the real year. Through June 2026 BMW had recorded 8,906 units, tracking well ahead of the incomplete 6,301 booked over the same months of 2025.

BMW 2-Series Sales in Canada
Canada is a much smaller market for the nameplate and has never repeated its early high. Sales climbed from 883 units in the 2014 launch year to a peak of 2,091 in 2016, then slid through the back half of the decade to 1,202 in 2019. The Gran Coupe lifted the line briefly to 2,045 in 2021 before a sharp drop to 721 in 2022. Since then volume has stayed in a narrow band: 1,020 in 2023, 1,463 in 2024 and 1,063 in 2025. The first half of 2026 has been essentially flat, with 519 units through June against 521 in the same period a year earlier.
