Acura ZDX Sales Figures

The Acura ZDX

The Acura ZDX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by Acura, Honda’s luxury division. Here you will find Canadian and U.S. sales figures for the Acura ZDX. It was first introduced as a concept car at the 2009 New York International Auto Show and later went into production for the 2010 model year. The ZDX was designed to offer a unique blend of style, performance, and luxury, aiming to attract buyers who sought a more distinctive and sporty crossover design. While the Acura ZDX offered a unique and distinctive design, its limited production and niche appeal contributed to its discontinuation. As a result, the ZDX is not as widely available as other Acura models.

In 2024, Acura will be releasing a new ZDX that will be fully electric. This new ZDX will be based on the GM Ultium platform and will have a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 340 horsepower. The new ZDX will also have a more traditional SUV shape than the original ZDX.

Acura ZDX Brief Overview

The Acura ZDX featured a bold and coupe-like design, with a sloping roofline and a sleek silhouette. It was designed to resemble a sporty coupe-SUV crossover, which gave it a distinctive and attention-grabbing appearance. The ZDX’s styling set it apart from more traditional and conventional crossover SUVs in the market. The ZDX was built on a modified version of the platform used in the Acura MDX, which is a larger and more family-oriented luxury SUV. It featured a standard all-wheel-drive system (SH-AWD) for enhanced traction and handling in various road conditions. The Acura ZDX was equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine, producing approximately 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. This engine provided ample power for a spirited driving experience. Acura paired the ZDX’s engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering smooth gear changes and optimal power delivery.

Acura ZDX Sales Data & Trends

The Acura ZDX was produced in limited numbers and was marketed as a niche model with a specific target audience. However, due to lower-than-expected sales and shifting market demands, Acura discontinued the ZDX after the 2013 model year. The ZDX remained available in the used car market for a limited time after its discontinuation.
