Here you will find annual car sales figures for Turkey. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Since the mid-2000s, the Turkish car market has fluctuated sharply between 500,000 and 1 million annual sales. Only 2 out of the 10 year-over-year changes are single digit, whether increase of decrease. The market bottomed out in 2008 just below 495,000 sales, before rebounding with 3 consecutive double digit increases, most notably the 36.6% increase in 2010. In both 2012 and 2014 Turkish car sales dropped 10% on the year before, but in 2015 the market peaked at a record 968,000 sales, a figure it’s set to break again in 2016.
