Chevrolet Bolt

Here you will find sales figures for the Chevrolet Bolt. The Chevrolet Bolt is an all-electric subcompact hatchback produced by General Motors under its Chevrolet brand. Since its introduction, the Bolt has played a significant role in bringing electric vehicles (EVs) to a broader market due to its relatively affordable price and practical range. The Chevrolet Bolt stands as an important vehicle in the electric automotive landscape, offering an attainable and practical electric option for a wide range of consumers. Its continued development, including the introduction of the Bolt EUV and enhancements in technology and design, reflects General Motors’ commitment to electrification.

Chevrolet Bolt Overview

The Chevrolet Bolt is an all-electric hatchback that was first introduced in 2017. It is one of the most affordable electric cars on the market, and it offers a range of up to 259 miles on a single charge. The Bolt is powered by a single electric motor that produces 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a single-speed automatic transmission. The Bolt is available with front-wheel drive only.

The Bolt gets an EPA-estimated 119 MPGe in the city and 98 MPGe on the highway. It is one of the most fuel-efficient cars on the market, and it qualifies for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500. The Bolt is not the most spacious hatchback on the market, but it is comfortable for four adults. The cargo space is also decent, with 16.9 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. The Bolt is a good choice for people who are looking for an affordable, fuel-efficient, and electric car. It is not the most spacious or powerful hatchback on the market, but it is still a good value for the price.

Chevrolet Bolt Sales Figures

The Chevrolet Bolt has been praised for its contribution to the mainstream adoption of electric vehicles. Its combination of practical range, accessible pricing, and everyday usability made it an appealing option for those looking to transition from traditional internal combustion engines. However, it has faced some criticisms, including some related to interior material quality and comfort, particularly in comparison to some newer competitors. The vehicle also faced recall issues related to battery problems, which General Motors actively addressed. This combined with the Tesla 3s success hurt its sales volumes.

The Bolt was unveiled in 2015 and began production for the 2017 model year. Initially offering an EPA-estimated range of 238 miles (383 km) on a full charge, making it one of the first affordable electric cars with a range over 200 miles. Equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack and a 150 kW electric motor, delivering 200 horsepower. Supported Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging, as well as DC fast charging, enabling more rapid recharging on the go. Second Generation (2022–Present)

The Bolt was redesigned for the 2022 model year with updated styling, technology, and interior. Introduced the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, a larger and slightly more upscale variant with SUV-like styling. Continued with a similar battery and motor setup, with ranges varying slightly between the standard Bolt and Bolt EUV. Added features like the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system (available on the Bolt EUV) and improved infotainment options.
