Dodge Journey Sales Figures

Dodge Journey

Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian and U.S. sales figures for the Dodge Journey. The Dodge Journey is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by Dodge. Introduced in 2008 for the 2009 model year, the Journey has been positioned as a family-oriented vehicle offering three-row seating and practical features at an affordable price point. It was discontinued after the 2020 model year.

Dodge Journey Overview

The Dodge Journey stands as an example of a vehicle designed with a specific audience in mind—families needing space and flexibility at an affordable price. While it may have lagged behind competitors in areas like performance, fuel efficiency, and advanced technology, its practical design and competitive pricing ensured that it found a place in the market for over a decade. The discontinuation of the Journey reflects broader trends in the automotive industry, including a shift towards more sophisticated and efficient crossover designs.

The Journey was available with a variety of engines, including a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a 3.6-liter V6 engine, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It was available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The Journey was a popular choice for buyers who were looking for a versatile and affordable SUV. It was not as popular as some rivals, such as the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4, but it was a good value for money car.

Dodge Journey Europe Sales Data & Charts

The Dodge Journey was officially withdrawn from the European market together with the Dodge brand in 2011. It was replaced by the Fiat Freemont, which sold more cars in 2012 alone than the Journey had sold in the four years before, even though it wasn’t available in every country. The larger dealer network of Fiat and the availability of a diesel engine are possible reasons for the increase in sales.
