Ford Focus

Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian, U.S, and European market sales figures for the Ford Focus. The Ford Focus is a compact car produced by Ford since 1998. Renowned for its blend of practicality, performance, and handling, the Focus has become one of Ford’s most successful models globally. The vehicle was designed to replace the Ford Escort in various markets and has been sold in multiple body styles, including sedan, hatchback, and wagon forms.

Ford Focus Overview

The Focus was launched in 1998 in Europe and reached North America for the 2000 model year. It was designed as a “world car,” meaning a single model for global markets, thus consolidating Ford’s previous diverse compact offerings. The Ford Focus’s combination of affordability, versatility, driving dynamics, and performance (especially in the ST and RS trims) has made it a favorite among both daily drivers and automotive enthusiasts. Its legacy as a compact car that “punches above its weight” ensures it remains a crucial part of Ford’s global lineup, even as market trends shift.

The current-generation Focus is available with a choice of three engines: a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All three engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Focus is available in a variety of body styles, including a hatchback, a sedan, and a wagon. It is also available in a variety of trim levels, including the base S, the mid-level SE, and the top-of-the-line ST. The Focus is a popular car in Europe and North America. It has won numerous awards, including the 2019 North American Car of the Year award.
