Large SUV Sales Figures In America – September 2013 YTD

America’s full-size SUV market was led by the Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition in September 2013, both of which reported year-over-year increases in a segment (and a market) which declined. 

Although September 2013 volume of the Tahoe, Expedition, and their five like-minded rivals slid 8%, the daily sales rate in an abbreviated, non-Labour-Day-inclusive September remained level. Moreover, sales through the first three quarters of 2013 are up 8.7%, a 14,702-unit increase.

On the heels of the debut of GM’s four new full-size SUVs, ready to go on sale in 2014, GM owned 66.3% of the category in September; 73.9% through the first three quarters of 2013.
