The two best sellers, Mercedes-Benz’s S-Class and the BMW 7-Series, reported improved volume. 7-Series sales, always prone to severe fluctuations, more than doubled to 1507 units.
S-Class sales rose 6% to a segment-leading 2021 units.

The Audi A8, Jaguar XJ, Lexus LS, and Porsche Panamera combined for only 1659 U.S. sales last month. The foursome’s year-to-date total of 6838 units also trails the S-Class’s four-month total of 7065 U.S. sales.
