Ford still hasn’t delivered enough new Transit Connects to dealers to match 2013’s first quarter U.S. sales pace, but Ford is still the controller of America’s commercial van market.

Together, the Transit Connect and top-selling E-Series owned 51% of the commercial van segment in March 2014. Sales of these vans were up 12.4% in March and rose 6.7% in the first quarter of 2014.
Small vans – Transit Connect, NV200, Ram C/V – generated 17% of the category’s total sales. Of that group, the declining Transit Connect’s market share was 61%.
