Commercial Van Sales Figures In America – August 2013 YTD

Ford’s E-Series continues to be America’s top-selling commercial van, but the Chevrolet Express wasn’t far behind in August 2013.

Ford, with the E-Series and Transit Connect, owned 49.4% of the commercial van market last month. GM’s two vans grabbed another 36.8%, leaving very little for Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Chrysler to pick up. Sales of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter slid 35%, the worst drop in the eight-van category. 

Small vans – Transit Connect, Ram Cargo Van, and Nissan’s new NV200 – combined for 19.7% of commercial van sales, up from 17.5% in July.
