Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs In America – September 2010

Every utility vehicle in America’s best-selling SUVs list for September 2010 improved upon their September 2009 sales. Obviously the 2011 Kia Sorento stands out as one vehicle which, well, really needed a redesign. But Chrysler looked on as customers responded to the terrific new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and some decent marketing, too. Grand Cherokee sales were up 95% in September when compared with September 2009.

Year-to-date, the Honda CR-V’s lead over the Ford Escape stands at 1466 units.

With the reintroduction of the Grand Cherokee to this list and the solidifying sales of the Chevrolet Traverse, two frequently-found-here members are missing. The Jeep Wrangler and Lexus RX had decent months – Wrangler sales were up 29% and the RX remained the best-selling luxury utility vehicle – but neither is on the list of America’s Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs, the September 2010 edition.
